PLATING 

At UNIFORM we use 24ct Gold Vermeil. But what is Gold Vermeil and why do we use it? 

Gold Vermeil must be base metal Sterling Silver, as opposed to cheaper metal alternatives (eg. brass) used for plating 

Gold Vermeil requires a thicker layer of gold, at least 2.5 microns. All of our pieces are minimum 3-10 microns. 

Gold Vermeil produces a thicker, more hypoallergenic, and long-lasting finish than standard gold plated jewellery.
